We provide all pre-award services to all of the UT Institute of Agriculture, including AgResearch, UT Extension,
the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, and the College of Veterinary Medicine.
Mission
The UTIA Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) facilitates research, extension, and education activities by supporting
faculty and staff in their pursuit of external funding. We provide specialized, high-quality service in all aspects
of proposal development and award negotiations for federal, state, and private funding. OSP helps ensure compliance with
internal and external requirements within an atmosphere of professionalism and collaboration.
We have a three (3) business day deadline for complete proposal information to be delivered to UTIA Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), prior to the agency proposal deadline. To be considered on time, the proposal must be approved by all units in Cayuse, have all final documents attached, and be ready for submission. Late proposals will be marked in Cayuse as late and will be reviewed as time allows. If there is insufficient time for a complete review of a late proposal, OSP will not have time to ensure the budget and proposal documents meet the sponsor’s requirements. In these cases, the PI will assume full responsibility for the failure of the proposal to be submitted by the deadline, for the proposal being returned without review by the sponsor, or for any delays in award setup stemming from the late proposal.
