Make Plans Now for Ag Day 2008
Join in the fellowship and fun Saturday, Oct. 18, when Ag Day returns to the agricultural campus in Knoxville. Festivities start four hours before game-time between the Vols and the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
Visit with students, alums, and faculty and enjoy live music, UT’s mascot Smokey, antique tractors, face painting, and a moonwalk. The perennial favorite, UT’s famous insect petting zoo, will be there, and so will displays highlighting news from departments in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources and College of Veterinary Medicine.
This year, Ag Day will also feature tours of the UT Veterinary Teaching Hospital, including the technologies and features of its new Small Animal Teaching Hospital.
Free refreshments and a Student Cattlemen’s Association luncheon featuring sirloin steak sandwiches and hot dogs will be available. Activities will take place on Chapman Drive between the Plant Biotechnology Building and Biosystems Engineering and Soil Science. Parking will be available around Morgan Hall on a limited, first-come, first-served basis.
