APAC examines policies, regulations and conditions that affect how farmers operate their businesses and how the agricultural sector performs.
Center of Excellence in Livestock Diseases and Human Health
The Center was designed to improve the quality of human life through better animal health, expand livestock disease research capabilities, identify and characterize animal diseases that are similar to human disease, and develop new strategies for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.
Center for Agriculture & Food Security and Preparedness (CAFSP)
The CAFSP serves as a focal point for several key inititatives that will assist the nation in its efforts to protect agriculture and the food supply from terrorist threats.

The Center for Wildlife Health provides a multidisciplinary environment for the study of health issues arising from the interaction of wildlife, livestock, humans and the environment.
Food Safety Center of Excellence
The Food Safety Center of Excellence develops and evaluates strategies to destroy or control food-borne pathogens and reduce the occurrence of food-borne illnesses.
Forest Products Center
The Forest Products Center focuses on providing research and education for the forest products industry.
Soil, Plant and Pest Center
The Soil, Plant and Pest Cetner serves homeowners, farmers, nursery growers and researchers by providing information to assist in all areas of production.
Southeastern SunGrant Center
The SunGrant Initiative provides land-grant university research, education and Extension programs on renewable energy and biobased, non-food industries.
UT Center for Community-Based Health Initiatives (CCBHI)
CCBHI is a partnership of the UT College of Pharmacy and UT Extension. The center's goal is to create, deliver and evaluate innovative health education programs that are community-based and provide research-based education designed to result in self-responsibility for health.
UT Obesity Research Center
The UT Obesity Research Center is dedicated to developing interdisciplinary approaches for the prevention and treatment of overweight and obesity that will decrease obesity-related complications and help people achieve long-term maintenance of a healthy weight.
Tennessee Agricultural Experiment Station Research and Education Centers
There are 10 research and education centers located across the state. The centers support most of the research conducted by UT AgResearch for the benefit of Tennessee's diversified agriculture and natural resource industries. Research conducted by the centers addresses real problems or answers real questions posed by producers, agribusinesses, agricultural professionals and the general public.
