KNOXVILLE — The University of Tennessee Gardens on Neyland Drive is offering free, twilight garden tours this summer and fall. Everyone is invited to come and learn about the gardens. Either Dr. Susan Hamilton, the gardens' director, or James Newburn, gardens' curator, will lead the walks and discuss the many exciting plants and plant trials in the gardens.

The walks are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month, May through September. The first walk is scheduled for Tuesday, May 18.

Participants are encouraged to bring cameras and insect repellant. Bottled water is also recommended.

Free parking is available at the gardens entrance on the UT agricultural campus, behind the UT College of Veterinary Medicine. The tours will begin at the gardens entrance plaza. A map is available online at
http://utgardens.tennessee.edu/.

To ensure that enough tour guides are available, participants should pre-register by calling Patty Ridings at 865-974-7324.
