KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (June 11, 2003) – The University of Tennessee Gardens on Neyland Drive is offering free, twilight garden tours this summer and fall. Everyone is invited to come and learn about the gardens. Either Dr. Susan Hamilton, the gardens' director, or James Newburn, gardens' curator, will lead the walks and discuss the many exciting plants and plant trials in the gardens. The walks are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. the third Tuesdays of each month, July through September. Participants are encouraged to bring their cameras and insect repellant. Drinking water is also recommended. Free parking is available at the Gardens entrance on the UT Agriculture Campus, behind the UT College of Veterinary Medicine. The tours will begin at the UT Gardens entrance plaza. # # # Contact: Patricia McDaniels or Samantha Hill, 865-974-7141; James Newburn or Susan Hamilton, 865-974-7324 |
