CASNR Campaign Goals
Campaign Goal: $15 Million
Total Funding Needs: $38.7 Million
The faculty of the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) continues the college’s strong tradition of transforming classroom knowledge and learning into experience through teamwork, internships, independent studies, and community involvement. To maintain the tradition and enhance the educational experience needed by graduates in the 21st century, the college needs to advance in four key areas viewed as critical to the college’s success. CASNR must:
- Recruit and retain a diverse student population that reflects the diversity of the people of Tennessee, nation, and world, and is academically prepared for a challenging curriculum
- Provide students and faculty with resources that enhance and extend instruction and co-curricular activities
- Broaden and expand the curricula’s international dimension to prepare students to succeed in careers in a globally connected market
- Expand professional development opportunities for faculty and staff to enhance student preparation and training
CASNR identifies these areas as significant to advancing the quality of experience its students receive:
- Attract a Diverse and Academically Prepared Student Population
- Enhance and Extend Instruction and Co-Curricular Activities
- Expand International Dimensions of the Curricula
- Expand Professional Development for Faculty and Staff
