You have the opportunity to vote for UTCVM’s Dog Bite Prevention video on the Telly’s custom YouTube channel.  You can vote until March 5.

Here is a direct link to the “Dog Bite Prevention” video. – http://www.youtube.com/tellyawards?x=9Wil19zIyzQ

I’m sending this to all CVM faculty, staff and students for a couple of reasons:

1—to give you an opportunity to vote “thumbs-up” for the video, which would help Instructional Resources in their quest for another Telly Award (the non-broadcast award akin to an Emmy)

2—to show you some of the work the college is doing to help prevent dog bites. To view the entire 6 minute video or to share the entire video with kids, visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFahhr-mSrw

Sympathy is expressed to Robert D. Miller, research professor, Greeneville REC, his wife Karen and other members of the Miller family in the death of Robert and Karen's son Alan Brent Miller, age 28, February 5 in High Point North Carolina.

The family will receive friends at Towering Oaks Baptist Church, Tuesday, February 9, 2010, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow visitation beginning at 8:00 p.m. Towering Oaks Baptist Church is located at 1985 Buckingham Road, Greeneville, TN 37745.

Amelia E. Rader, administrative specialist, UT Research & Education Center at Greeneville has informed me that there is also to be a visitation and memorial service in Kentucky on Wednesday evening. Sego Funeral Home in Munfordville, KY will be in charge of those local arrangements. Their website is listed below. Amelia points out that this will probably be closer for friends in the Nashville/Springfield area.
